Chocolate Chip Cookies
It was a cold and dreary day….. Ok, we’re not going to do a family history class today. Just going to get down and dirty with making these amazing chocolate chip cookies. For real, they are the ooey-gooeyist ones you’ll ever have! With the perfect crispy bite to them.
Start by preheating the oven to 350°F. Always a good place to start. Then grab a medium mixing bowl and mix the flour, baking soda and salt together. I prefer to use a whisk to really get them well-blended. Next, use a large mixing bowl, add together the melted butter, both sugars, vanilla and apple cider vinegar. Beat on high until smooth. Then, beat in the egg just until mixed, do not over mix.
Mix the dry ingredients into the wet, folding together, just until combined. Finally, stir in the chocolate chips and anything else you like to add, such as raisins, nuts, etc.
Grab your cookie scoop, and scoop 2 tbsp lumps onto your parchment lined baking sheet about 3” apart – these cookies really spread out.
Bake for 8-10 mins until bottom edges are just golden brown.
Remove the cookies from the oven and let them rest on the hot baking sheet for an additional 10mins, then move to cooling rack.
Then ENJOY!! For real, they will be the most chewy, crispy and perfect cookie ever! All with just “oil” from the butter and no oil from a bottle.
