When Weldon and Lorianne, of The Stoaways, decided to leave the comfort of their home and community to embark on a life of full-time travel, with the goal of finding joy in their journey, chasing people not places and a place to call home.
“Lean into the suck. When it’s going to be hard, lean into it. We stepped out on faith. One of our big missions in life is like a lot of people the last couple of years, look, we don’t live in fear. That’s not what we’re called to. And we’re just going to lean in.”
More about The Stoaways
Weldon and Lorianne are a family of six who have been living on the road for almost three years. They sold their house and embarked on an adventure to explore the country, meet new people, and find a permanent home in Montana.
Weldon and Lorianne had big dreams of traveling full time, but the path to get there was filled with hard work and dedication. Despite the difficulties of selling their house, finding a rig, and leaving their home community, the two made the decision to lean into the journey. With a vision of finding a new home and living in God’s will, the family set out on a road trip that would take them across 46 states. Through their travels, they found new friends, shared experiences, and found joy in the journey. With a mission of finding a place to call home, the family still continues their travels in search of the perfect spot.
